Viking Vegvisir "Wayfinder" Pendant with Rune Border - Runic Compass Symbol - Stainless Steel
The Vegvisir, also known as the "runic compass" or the Viking compass made of eight Viking rune staves, is a symbol of protection and guidance believed to be used as a compass by Viking people. The word vegvisir means "wayfinder" and "sign post" in Icelandic language. This pendant recreates the power and mystery surrounding the Vegvisir by surrounding it with Norse runes. It is flat in shape, made of durable stainless steel, and has been slightly antiqued to better bring out the details. The Wayfinder rune is only on the front, and the back of the pendant is designed to resemble a shield with a studded rim. The pendant measures 1.5 x 1.5 inches, and a genuine leather neck cord is included.
