Viking Knotted Berserker Bear Head Hammer Pendant with Thor Face and 24 Inch Chain
The most recognizable symbol of Norse mythology is probably the hammer, representing Mjolnir, the mighty magical hammer of Thor, the God of Thunder. This Mjolnir pendant is designed with weaving lines, the face Thor, and two bear heads representing the strength and ferocity of the Viking warriors known as Berserkers. These Berserkers were synonymous with bears not only because of their frenzied and unstoppable fighting style, but because they would fight bare-chested and without armor in battle. That's why the word "Berserker" actually means "bear-shirt" in the Old Norse language. Simply put, this is a pendant of great design and symbolism.
