Perun maintains order in the Universe, gives victory in the battle and protects the state and honorable rulers. Of all the Gods, he has the closest relationship with the mankind, and has long been honored even by non-Slavic people. A Sowulo "thunderbolt" rune marks the top of this pendant, symbolizing the Sun, Power, Success, and Honor. The figure of Perun is portrayed here holding a sword and a shield bearing a Kolovrat symbol. The Kolovrat is also known as a "Moving Cross" or "Sun Wheel" and represents the ultimate power of the sun, often in connection with the gods.
