Pentagram Symbol Pendant with Baphomet Goat Head Design
The inverted pentagram with a goat's head, sometimes called the Sigil of Baphomet, first appeared in 1897. The symbol has been called a "material pentagram" representational of carnality and earthy principles. Baphomet was a deity allegedly worshipped by the Knights Templar that later became incorporated into various occult and Western esoteric traditions. To many, Baphomet was considered a symbol of balance, portrayed as a "Sabbatic Goat" composed of binary elements representing the equilibrium of opposites: half-human and half-animal, male and female, good and evil. Baphomet was meant to represent the goal of perfect social order. But to others Baphomet was considered to be a demon. Whichever you happen to believe, this Baphomet symbol design definitely makes a statement. Please see below for more details.
