Large Round Celtic Kells Serpent Pendant
This beautifully handmade knotted serpent pendant is mostly reminiscent of Celtic art and drawings contained within the illuminated manuscript, the Book of Kells. But it also has some inspiration from Viking artwork and the Norse mythology surrounding the giant serpent Jormungandr. Also known as the Midgard Serpent, Jormungandr was created by Loki and represented a terrible threat to all mankind. Because of this, Odin intervened and cast the beast into the sea, where Jormungandr grew even larger. Regardless of the culture, whether you're interested in Viking or Celtic art, this pendant will fit right in. It has been crafted in finely polished silver pewter which is lead-free, nickel-free, and completely safe to wear. It comes with a leather cord, and measures about 1.6 inches across.
