Many ancient cultures had mythologies and legends surrounding a Tree of Life. Celtic mythology portrayed a tree of life connecting the heavens and the earth. Christianity also reference a Tree of Life in the Old Testament book of Genesis. Norse mythology was a little different in that it told stories of Yggdrasil, the great tree whose branches connected the nine worlds and continued on into the heavens. This wonderful handmade pendant was inspired by all of this rich legacy, but is rooted more in Norse or Viking mythology with the tree being surrounded by all of the Norse runes.
