Viking Serpent of Midgard Pendant - Solid Bronze Jormungandr Dragon

In ancient Norse culture, Dragons, Serpents, Eels, Worms, Millipedes, and generally anything that slithered was all considered the same class of creatures. That's why there's often some ambiguity as to what is a dragon or a snake or serpent. Regardless, this pendant was inspired by the Norse legend of Jormungandr, known as the Midgard Serpent. This giant snake or sea-serpent was created by Loki and represented a terrible threat to all mankind. Because of this, Odin intervened and cast the beast into the sea, where Jormungandr grew even larger until eventually encircling all of Midgard.
