Small Bronze Cross Pendant - Maltese or Templar Circle Cross
The Maltese Cross (or the Eight-Pointed Cross) is generally considered to symbolize Courage, Honor, and Bravery. But the symbol is also associated with the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, and was used by Hospitaller Knights in the 15th Century during the Crusades. The eight points of the cross represent the eight lands of origin of the Knights Hospitaller: Auvergne, Provence, France, Aragon, Castille and Portugal, Italy, Germany, and the British Isles. The eight points on the cross have also been said to represent the eight Beatitudes (or sayings attributed to Jesus). Regardless of the meaning or interpretation, we think it's just an all-around great design, and looks great here as a pendant. Please see below for more details.
