Eagle Head Triskele Pendant in Sterling Silver with Red Garnet Stones

This exquisite sterling silver pendant is inspired by an artifact found in the county of Kent, England. The design dates to the 6th or 7th century, and is a great representation of Anglo-Saxon jewelry. It features a triskele of three eagle heads with red garnet stones. Triskeles are designs that repeat in threes, and are considered to represent the three realms of Sea, Land, and Sky. Even though this piece is considered Anglo-Saxon, it could also be considered a work of Norse/Viking inspiration for its use of eagle heads and general shield shape. Regardless, it's a great example of craftsmanship and fine medieval jewelry.
