Smaller Sized Hand-Forged Steel Pennanular Brooch with Curled Ends
We made this smaller size Pennanular Brooch or Cloak Pin for those of you requesting something smaller to put on scarves and clothing. It has been completely hand-forged using a hammer, anvil, and tongs. This very strong brooch is made of steel and can be worn several different ways depending on the style/look you are going for. Brooches similar to this were initially inspired by the Roman clasp or fibula. In the severe climate of northern Europe, the brooch became the typical ornament of the era because it normally functioned as a fastener for heavy tunics or cloaks. This particular style brooch has curled terminals to create a striking and timeless look. Perfect for re-enactments, costumes, Renaissance Festivals, or just everyday wear.
