Red Oak Wooden Viking Berserker Shield with Four Arrows Design

This beautiful hand-painted wooden shield features a Viking "Four Arrow Cross" design inspired by Viking and Norse shields of old. It features a heavy metal disc/boss in the center, and has stainless steel studs lining the black border. Dual leather straps are used to secure the arm along the back—one going over the forearm and one intended to be gripped or held. The shield is made out of 0.5 inch Red Oak, so because of this the wood-grain pattern shown in the photos may vary slightly from the shield you receive (this is simply due to the nature of the wood). The front of the shield has also been applied with several coats of topcoat/finish to protect it through the years. It measures about 26 inches in diameter—more than enough to cover your arm way past the elbow. Whether for the wall or the battlefield, this shield is well balanced and ready to serve.
