Hand-Forged Steel Sun Buckler Shield

This hand-forged Medieval Sun Shield made of heavy 14 gauge steel and wood! This buckler shield is powerfully built, with a domed boss in the center and reinforced steel around the rim and side edges. It measures over 11 inches across, a perfect size for quick one-handed wielding. The backside of the shield comes with a leather-wrapped solid iron handle that makes maneuvering the shield natural and easy. This type of shield saw heavy use in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance both on the battlefield by swordsman and archers that needed something small and quick to defend themselves with. Please note: Slight variations in the wood color may occur, ranging from dark brown to dark red.
