Round Wooden Viking Odin Shield - Norse Armor

This beautiful 25 inch wooden shield features an intricate hand-painted original design portraying the Viking god Odin on his steed Sleipnir. The shield's body is made out of a 1/2 inch thick smooth composite wood (which is considerably stronger than plywood). Dual leather straps and support braces are attached to the back of the shield, with one leather strap intended to be gripped and one strap going over the forearm. The shield has also been applied with several coats of varnish to further protect and preserve it from wear.
