Greek Medusa Buckler Shield

This beautiful 12 inch wooden Buckler Shield features a Medusa (or Gorgon) design inspired by actual ancient Greek shields of old. This original design by artist Phillip W. Anderson captures the beauty and horror of the Medusa in all its glory and shows us why it made such an impressive and fearsome design! The shield's body is made of a smooth composite wood which is considerably stronger and more durable than plywood, and the backside has two support braces and a single leather strap intended to be gripped with one hand. The front of the shield has also been applied with several clear-coats of varnish to further protect and preserve it from wear.

Please note that all of our shields are individually crafted, and are made one at a time. Nothing else comes close to the quality or authenticity of every shield. As this shield is a Made to Order item, please allow an extra 7 to 10 days for it to be constructed and painted.
