Round Wooden Viking Berserker Shield - 26 inch Full Size

This beautiful hand-painted wooden shield features a Viking Berserker "Chaos Cross" design inspired by Viking and Norse shields of old. It features a heavy metal disc/boss in the center, and has stainless steel studs lining the border. The center background of the shield also has an orange sunburst fade to give it greater depth and visual appeal. Dual leather straps are used to secure the arm along the back—one going over the forearm and one intended to be gripped or held. The shield is made out of a 1/2 inch thick plywood, so because of this the wood-grain background shown in the picture may vary slightly from the shield you receive (this is simply due to the nature of the wood). The front of the shield has also been applied with several coats of topcoat/varnish to protect it through the years. It measures about 27 inches in diameter—more than enough to cover your arm way past the elbow. Whether for the wall or the battlefield, this shield is well balanced and ready to serve.
