Round Viking Spiral Shield - Blue & White

This full-size wooden Viking Spiral shield features a metal boss or disc in the center. The design has been completely hand-painted using only the highest quality artist's grade paints, and has gleaming stainless steel studs lining the border! The shield is made out of a 1/2" thick smooth composite wood (which is considerably stronger and more durable than plywood). Dual genuine leather straps are used to comfortably secure the arm along the back (one going over the forearm and the other intended to be gripped or held). The shield has also been applied with several coats of topcoat to further protect and preserve it through the years. It measures about 25 inches in diameter.
