Kite Shield with Red Cross of the Crusades

This great wooden Kite Shield is reminiscent of those used in The Crusades. It features a classic red cross on a white background. The shield has been completely hand-crafted and hand-painted. Stainless steel studs line the edges, and dual leather straps secure the arm along the backside. This very large (yet maneuverable) shield measures about 43 inches in height and has the strongest wooden body you're going to find. It's made out of a smooth-surface composite wood which is considerably stronger than plywood. Several coats of topcoat/varnish have also been applied to protect the design from wear.

This would be perfect for either that upcoming Renaissance Festival or some backyard brawling. Trust us, this is one shield that pictures can't do justice, or show the time that we put into building it. Would also make a great surprise gift for that Medieval-enthusiast you know!
