Celtic Wolf Ring with Triquetra

Wolves usually hold great importance to many ancient cultures. Among the Celts, the wolf was a symbol of profound understanding, loyalty, intelligence, and was renowned for its communication. While in Viking / Norse mythology, the wolf was associated with victory in battle, ferocity, and was often representative of the monstrous wolf Fenrir who battles and slays Odin during Ragnarok (the end of the world). This beautifully designed ring pays homage to all of this rich mythology. And while this item is inspired mostly by Celtic art, it really could be used in association with either culture.

This ring also has a Triquetra (or Trinity Knot) on both sides of the band, which is an ancient symbol with multiple meanings. The Celts believed the most important things came in threes: the three domains (earth, sea, and sky), the three elements, and the three stages of life. Wiccans and Pagans consider the Trinity Knot to be a symbol of the forces of nature, and the three-fold nature of Goddess as mother, maiden, and crone. Christians believe it to be representative of the Holy Trinity of Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. But overall, the Triquetra or Trinity Knot often symbolizes eternal love, longevity, and the continuous cycle of life.
