Viking Vegvisir "Wayfinder" Pendant with Gold or Silver Accent

The Vegvisir, also known as the Viking Runic Compass, is made of eight Viking rune staves and is a symbol of protection and guidance believed to be used as a compass by Viking people. The word Vegvisir means "Wayfinder" and "sign post" in Icelandic language. This pendant recreates some of the power and mystery surrounding the Vegvisir symbol by surrounding it with the entire runic alphabet. The other side of the pendant has a "Helm of Awe" rune symbol, which looks similar to the Vegvisir but consists of eight repeated Algiz runes forming a symbol representing Protection. This Helm of Awe symbol was commonly put on helmets, armor and shields of Viking warriors.
