Ravens were very prominent in Viking / Norse mythology, and were commonly associated with the god Odin and his two ravens, named Hugin and Munin (or Thought and Memory). According to Norse mythology, these ravens flew around the world and served as Odin's scouts, reporting all they saw and heard to their master. The symbol of the raven was also the sigil of the famous Viking Ragnar Lothbrok. This pendant pays homage to the Norse legacy of the raven with a large raven skull on top with a raven design on each side of the hammer head.
