Viking / Slavic Hammer Pendant with Kolovrat Design
The hammer is probably the most recognizable symbol of Norse mythology and was also an important symbol to Slavic Pagans. Besides being the magical weapon of Thor in Norse mythology, the symbol of the hammer was also associated with Chernobog in Slavic mythology. Chernobog (also spelled Czernobog) was the god of death and the underworld, and would forge his evil minions with hammer and anvil. This particular hammer pendant we're offering also has a Slavic Kolovrat adorning its head. The Kolovrat symbol is sometimes known as a "moving cross" or "little sun" and to early Slavic Pagans was the symbol of the sun god. This pendant comes with a genuine leather neck cord, is made of steel with an antiqued silver finish, and measures 1.75 inches in height. Great for any attire, be it historic or contemporary.
