Viking / Norse Protection Pendant with Thor's Hammer, Wolf Heads, Horses, and Ship Prow

This deluxe Viking Protection Pendant is a treasure rich with symbolism and great design. The inspiration comes from several works of art that were discovered in different regions, all of which combine to protect the wearer on the Ground, in the Sea, and in the Sky. Protection on the ground is symbolized by the horses which offer strength and speed. Protection in the sea is symbolized by the prow of a ship which is represented here by the head and neck of a menacing beast (a design that actually exists on an Oseberg Drakkar ship). And lastly, protection in the sky is represented by the overall form and shape of Thor's Hammer Mjolnir. The Viking word Mjölnir means "Crusher", and was the name of the magical hammer wielded by Thor, the son of Odin. This pendant measures about 3.8 x 3.5 cm (or about 1.5 inches in height). Included with this pendant is a 26 inch braided leather "bolo" neck cord capped by silver pewter Wolf Heads which nicely hold the pendant in place.
