Paying homage to the Viking "Borre" art style of the 9th and 10th Century, this beautiful Viking brooch makes use of strong lines and geometric shapes in its design. The brooch is oval and slightly domed like tortoise brooches which were typically worn as a pair, but this particular brooch is smaller in size and much less massive. So this is intended to be worn for a more subtle instead of something overly large. We made this entirely of polished bronze, and it has a heavy bronze pin along the back for easy wearing. Great for pinning to a hat, scarf, jacket, or accenting any historic or contemporary attire.
